New Pizza Flavor!

One of the things I still enjoy when Mathiang is with us, is allowing him to

try new things and allowing him to learn new things! This trip, we learned to make homemade pizza! When we arrived home form church, we decided we would make homemade pizza for lunch. Mathiang and the boys did it all from making the crust to adding the cheese! Although we had plenty of topping to choose from, upon Mason's insistence we tried a new flavor! (You know I am always willing to try something new!) Mason, Mathiang, and Weston made - for the first time ever - are you ready to hear the flavor?? - BOLOGNA PIZZA! Mathiang insisted that we make it WITH PINEAPPLE! And, of course, I had to have my OLIVES!! BOLOGNA PINEAPPLE OLIVE PIZZA, you should try it sometime!! Mmmmmm....good!

Kids Singing In the Christmas Season

There is no sweeter sound than the voices of children singing praises to our great God! On December 23rd, our church, Fellowship Bible, had the children lead us in some Christmas songs. It was beautiful to hear them lift their voices! It's amazing to look at the children on the stage when you know the size of our congregation. We are small! I think there were more children on stage than adults in the audience! Our body is blessed with many, many children!

All of our boys were on stage and Mathiang was in the audience! The boys "oldest brother" was there! He safely arrived at our home the night before!

Mathiang arrived to spend Christmas with us! For those of you who do not know his story; Mathiang is one of the Lost Boys of Sudan. He became part of our family when he arrived in the states seven years ago. What a blessing to have our "entire family" together for the celebration of Christ's birth! This service prepared our hearts for anticipation and excitement! What a special time to be together as a family!

NO BLOGS DUE TO MAJOR COMPUTER ISSUES

We are having MAJOR COMPUTER ISSUES at our house.

It all started on December 25th - Christmas morning. Our computers have been running non-stop with the boys taking care of their new WEBKINZ!

I didn't want you to think I have given up on blogging...I just can't get on the computer to write!

You'll hear from me again when the computer is not in such high demand!

Oh, gotta go now, one of the boys needs to "walk" their Webkinz pet!

Rice Krispie Snowmen??

Before Christmas Becca and Jess came over for a fun Christmas afternoon. We enjoyed lunch, and then Becca led all of us in a Christmas Craft from her childhood...making snowmen out of rice krispie treats! The boys all LOVED it!

All of the snowmen and snowomen were adorable, but Jess gets the prize for being the most creative! She created a pregnant snowoman! Adorable! We laughed and laughed! Then the boys enjoyed getting to EAT their Rice Krispie art! Too cute!

After the snowman snack, the three of us exchanged "home-made" ornaments for the tree! I now have a Jess-elf staring at me from the branches. Becca's ornament was beautiful! My favorite part is the paint pen "Merry Christmas!" Seriously, it is going to be fun to hang these on the tree every year and remember my special friends! I am so blessed to have them both in my life!

I want to wish all of my friends a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! I pray that tomorrow you will experience a blessed day with family and friends! I also pray that your focus will be on the GREATEST GIFT OF ALL TIME...Jesus Christ!

"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life!"

What a miracle to celebrate!

From our family to yours - Merry Christmas!

Preschool Performance

Last week Braden had his Preschool Christmas Party. His class sang three songs; Away In a Manger, Happy Birthday Jesus and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. It took Braden a while to get warmed up, but he finally sang! It was so cute! He spent much of the performance with his hands stuck down deep into his pockets! It was adorable!

Need a LAUGH?

I saw this hilarious Homeschooling Video a few days ago. When I visited Tracie's BLOG, I read about the comedian. For all of you who love HILLBILLIES - You have GOT to visit this link and watch "Cletus Take the Wheel!" The homeschooling video is on there as well! You will enjoy them! Too funny!

Evidently some of my friends know important people...Tracie knows a famous comedian (above), Becca's cousin was a famous country music star (who was it?), and PATTI won the HUGE PRIZE PACK today on Love 89.1! (I had to put this somewhere on my BLOG b/c Patti hasn't started one yet! I'm sharing her great news with Blogworld!)

Seriously, congrats!

LIFE Group Christmas Party

We had so much fun at our LIFE Group Christmas party. Brandon and Betsy hosted the get together in their home. We enjoyed great soup (thanks Betsy!) and then we played "Dirty Santa" with white elephant gifts! It was hilarious! Mason ended up with a basket of picture frames and Braden had a PINK Magna Doodle. Too funny!

We had lots of things to celebrate. The Holmes family joined us for the first time. It is great to welcome them to our family group. The biggest celebration was that Triten's adoption became final! This is one of the first pictures of the Tridle family! On the way to the party Kristin told us that Triten said, "I have a family now." What a praise! We are so happy for you all!

Here are some pictures of our fun night together!

Merry Christmas! We are thankful for you!

Torture for Kids

Tonight Reid and I were having a little smoochie-woochie time (that's kissing in Beebe lingo). Nothing Rated "R" - just some lip-to-lip married action!

Mason walked in on us kissing. He screeched, "Eeew gross! Mom, Dad that is so gross! Kissing is TORTURE for kids!"

Hmmm...now I have finally found a punishment that I would actually enjoy implementing! Wha-ha!

The Many Christmas Faces of Reid

This is Reid.
He is happy that Christmas is approaching! We are getting out the decorations and anticipating December 25th!This is Reid thinking of the PERFECT GIFT for his beautiful wife. Hmmm... it takes a lot of thought for the PERFECT GIFT! He is thinking so hard about the PERFECT GIFT for his lovely wife to find under the tree on Christmas morning! Think...think...think!This is Reid after several hours of trimming the tree. Okay, he's a little "over it!"
This is Reid when he hears that we are "all done!" with decorating! Yippee!!This is Reid - the love of my life! Always!
I can't wait to see what he is giving me for Christmas!
He's been working VERY HARD on the PERFECT GIFT for me!
I'm so blessed to have Reid as my hubby!

Ornaments Say "We Were Meant To Be"

Every year, these are two of my FAVORITE ornaments to hang on the tree. Two brass sleds...they are identical except for the name...one is engraved with "Reid" and one is engraved with "Robin." Both of these ornaments are over 30 years old! Can you believe it?! Our parents bought IDENTICAL ornaments for us well over 30 years ago! Unbelievable. I suppose "we were meant to be!" It makes me smile every year when we hang them side-by-side!

These photos are compliments of Weston - He's a master with the camera!

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...FINALLY

We were all excited to FINALLY bring out the boxes of Christmas decorations. There is something about seeing all of the stockings, the nativities, the snowmen, the ornaments. It puts me in the Christmas Spirit! I love getting everything up and transforming our home into a Christmas dreamland! The boys always enjoy it, and we have a great time together as a family!

The boys open the "Trimming the Tree" gift from Aunt Kaye. Our annual handmade ornaments are the favorites on the tree!

Our house FINALLY shines with the decorations of Christmas. We FINALLY got our tree on Saturday! First the lights. I know of women who do this job, but I am VERY GLAD that Reid tackles the job faithfully every year! Our lights are always perfect! :) After the lights come the cranberries. These were always on our tree when I was growing up. I love remembering my childhood as we hang the cranberries on the tree!

Last ,but not least come the ornaments! We tell stories about nearly every one we hang on the tree! If you have ever given us one in the past, know that you are mentioned as we put up the tree!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! Especially Mason! Nightie Night!
