God's Team

Recently a friend asked me, "Who is your team in Ghana?"

Caught off-guard, I answered hesitantly, "Well, our family is our team.  Reid, myself, and our five boys."

However, the Lord has clearly shown me that this statement is completely incorrect.

This is a picture of part of "our Team."

Our Team consists of every single person who is praying for us...  Every person who is financially partnered with us...  Every person who has collected supplies for us...  Every person who is involved with this ministry in any way...

Our Team consists of families who have hearts for desperate orphans.  Our Team is full of believers who mourn over those who have never heard the hope of Jesus.  Our Team is led by His servants who willingly sacrifice for God's beloved people around the world.  Our Team is made up of individuals who live unselfish lives under the mantra, "This life is not about me."

Our Team is multi-racial, multi-generational, and multi-denominational because God knows no boundaries.

Our Team is GOD'S TEAM.

Our Team is led by two families who live lives sold-out for Jesus.  The O'Learys who run Feeding the Orphans, and The Alijah's who run Meaningful Life International.  These are the two ministries we will represent on the ground in Ghana.  These two families have lived as an example before us.  Through their personal obedience, they have paved the way for us to serve Christ alongside them.  We praise God for their leadership.

Scripture teaches that no one can go unless they are sent.  In fact, the implication is that "sending" is of equal importance to "going."  (Luke 4:18-19, Romans 10:15,16, Isaiah 6:8)

Friends, we are blown away by the Lord's goodness in providing people to accept the role of "sending."  YOU are faithful ones impacting the world for Christ.  We praise God for you.  YOU are the GOD TEAM He has woven together to SEND.  Thank you for your obedience to His call.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
    because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
Luke 4:18-19
