"Christ wants not nibblers of the possible, but grabbers of the impossible."  (C.T. Studd) We begin 2012 amazed, awed, and astounded by God’s provision. In a little over five weeks, God has added 35% of our needed support! Thank you to everyone who has partnered with us for the Kingdom of Christ to be spread in Ghana, Africa.    Over the past few weeks, God has provided for this mission through unusual ways: Our nephew, Eli, handed us a pledge card promising $5 per month! An unemployed couple sent an astounding gift - giving to this work out of their lack! A little eight year old girl, Kylie (pictured below), gave us a bag full of change totaling $56.50! A couple gave a generous end-of-the-year gift from their prosperous year in business - giving out of their abundance! An elderly lady pledged to support us monthly feeling called to help spread the gospel! Adoptive families partnered with us desiring to love desperate orphans in Jesus name! Robin’s father retired on December 31st, and his retirement gift from his company was a gift to God’s work in Ghana! Ministry Champions who are sharing our story with others through letters, sharing nights, emails, and phone calls.  Even strangers have given financially to help!   Generous giving.  God’s heart in action...a call to His people to join in HIS work!    Raising support is part of God’s boot camp for our family - we're learning to depend on the Lord. Our faith is strengthened and our eyes are opened to see Him in His people.  This time of support raising has been a blessing for our family.  It’s been miraculous to see what the Lord has done thus far.  We have had the privilege and honor to pray in thanks for the many of you who have joined us.  From the bottom of our heart, thank you.    So, the question everyone seems to be asking, “When will you leave?”    Our answer - When we have the needed support. We hope what is needed will come in the next couple of months.    We continue to move forward with making plans.  God is taking care of so many details to prepare us to GO! Both Mason and Franklin will have their braces removed in mid-March.  Brace-less boys, finally! Our government visas are in place for our family to move to Ghana.  Big Praise! Some precious friends have been helping us transport a few personal belongings to Ghana as they have taken trips over.  (This is helping us greatly, as we try to think of packing up a household, homeschool supplies, and sparse sentimental items in two suitcases each!) Some dear friends have committed to care for our family while we wait for departure.  We thank God for the continual encouragement with each step forward!
