Cross of HOPE

Merry Christmas Water Angels!
This year our precious friends, David and Cheryl Coleman created this lovely "Cross of HOPE" including artwork (hand-painted butterflies) our boys and some of their friends made. This gift of love was given to Stephanie on December 5th proclaiming, "We may be homeless, but we are not HOPEless."

The gift was wrapped up in a large garbage bag signifying how God takes us as we are, but His beauty is waiting to be released. All we need to do is come to Him. He loves us and accepts us exactly as we are.

The butterfly in the center is significant because it was painted on the day Braden chose to receive Christ. I have Braden's, but the one in the center was hand-painted by Weston in October of 2009. Isn't it a beautiful picture of being a new creation in Christ? The final touches to the cross were done on Thanksgiving Day this year with the strings being pressed into the foam-board with Bibles.

This cross now hangs in the front of the Water Angels reminding us the God's beauty indwells each of us and provides assurance and HOPE. "Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights." Thank you, Jesus!

"For unto us a child is born, to us a Son is given...
And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6
